Netflix‘s new original K-Drama A Killer Paradox (also known as Murder DIEary), based on the Naver Webtoon of the same name by Kkomabi, was released this past weekend.
This Black comedy-thriller follows college student Lee Tang (also romanized as Yi Tang), played by Choi Woo Shik, and detective Jang Nan Gam, played by Son Suk Ku (also known as Son Seok Koo).
When one accidental killing leads to another, an average college student finds himself stuck in an endless cat-and-mouse chase with a shrewd detective who will stop at nothing to capture him.

If you also follow Netflix’s social media, you probably have noticed another actor in promotions for A Killer Paradox. You might not be able to recognize him, though, as he barely looks anything like his character.
The actor in question is Lee Hee Joon (also romanized as Lee Hee Jun).
He has an unbelievable filmography, appearing in numerous movies and K-Dramas. Lee Hee Jun is quite a versatile actor!
You probably remember him from any number of these. Some of his notable K-Dramas include Mouse and The Legend of the Blue Sea.
Lee He Joon’s role in A Killer Paradox is quite significant, but you might not have realized it was him due to his transformation. He played the role of former police officer Song Chon. Song Chon also worked with “sidekick” Roh Bin (Kim Yo Han) of Only For Heroes, killing those who did evil deeds, before Lee Tang.
Song Chon lived quite a different life from Lee He Joon and looked significantly older. Lee Hee Joon is only 44 years old in real life.
When you compare Lee Hee Joon’s usual Instagram uploads to behind-the-scenes photos from A Killer Paradox, it doesn’t even seem like the same person!
Lee He Joon isn’t the only actor who transformed for their role in A Killer Paradox. Read more below.
