Fourth-generation monster rookies NewJeans are expected to join K-Pop legend IU on her upcoming world tour.
According to reports on February 28, KST, NewJeans will appear as special guests at IU’s H.E.R. World Tour, and it was IU herself who proposed this plan.
This move marks yet another significant milestone in the wholesome relationship between the two artists, who first met in July 2023 when NewJeans appeared on IU’s YouTube show IU’s Palette. Despite being far apart in terms of years in the music industry and age, IU spared no compliment to praise the girl group.
This relationship was further solidified with a collaboration between IU and NewJeans’ youngest member, Hyein, for the song “Shh…” from IU’s latest mini album, The Winning.
Now, NewJeans will reportedly join IU for a live performance at her upcoming world tour, which kicks off on March 2, 2024. The group will appear during the very first stop in Seoul at the KSPO Dome. However, the KSPO Dome will host four concerts of this tour on different dates, and it is yet to be revealed which one NewJeans will be appearing on.
The news immediately took the internet by storm, and netizens couldn’t help but wish that the group would make the guest appearance on the dates they purchased the tickets for.
