“I Pushed Through”: Stray Kids’ Hyunjin Tells All About His Dream Collab With Troye Sivan

A collaboration between Australian singer-songwriter and actor Troye Sivan and Stray Kids‘ Hyunjin has been highly anticipated since Sivan began posting TikToks about the K-Pop idol this summer.

Hyunjin was a fan of Troye Sivan’s for years. Knowing that Hyunjin even sang Sivan’s songs as a trainee, STAYs were naturally excited for Hyunjin when it was announced that the K-Pop idol would be featured on the remix of Troye Sivan’s “Rush” with PinkPantheress.

Fans could only imagine how excited Hyunjin must be now that the song is out. Now, Hyunjin has revealed his true feelings about it during a recent live broadcast.

Hyunjin revealed he was “fascinated” when asked to collaborate, remembering how he sang Troye Sivan’s songs for monthly evaluations as a trainee. He confessed he nearly did not participate as the project came together in a short time. Yet, he “pushed through” because it was Troye Sivan whom he really admired.

I used to sing Troye Sivan’s songs for my monthly evaluations… so I was fascinated when I was asked to do the collab work. I really wanted to do well, although I didn’t get much time to prepare for it. Everything happened so quickly, so I almost didn’t get to participate. But I pushed through because he’s an artist that I really admire.

He also played the “Rush” remix during the live broadcast, singing along. We’re so happy for him that it was able to work out!
