Pentatonix, the famous GRAMMY Award-winning acapella group that struck fame after winning the third season of NBC‘s The Sing-Off in 2011, has had connections with K-Pop stretching back to 2017.
Pentatonix members Scott Hoying and Mitch Grassi, who formed their own project group Superfruit, collaborated with f(x)’s Amber in 2017 on the track “Fantasy” from their debut studio album. The lovable quintet also released a joint single, “A Little Space,” in 2021 with ATEEZ‘s Jongho, Yunho, and San.
Pentatonix member Scott Hoying recently married his longtime partner Mark Hoying (né Manio), and the wedding was iconic for many reasons.
From American singer-songwriter Christina Perri officiating and performing her hit “A Thousand Years” during the wedding to Loren Allred performing “Never Enough” during the wedding reception, there were countless unforgettable and special moments.
Along with performing a new song he wrote for his husband, Scott also surprised Mark with a dance medley to K-Pop supergroup BLACKPINK.
Partnering up with choreography duo Cost n’ Mayor, who often showcase their talents on TikTok, Scott performed a mash-up of BLACKPINK hits such as “How You Like That?” and “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” stunning Mark.
